The Goldilocks Climate: An Inconvenient Truth
I am not a doctor, scientist, or expert in anything. This content should not be construed as advice or recommendation, but is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only.
I apologize for the length of this one, but I was on a roll.
The planet is fucked.
We know the planet is fucked because we’ve been told so by the likes of John Kerry, Bill Gates, Al Gore, Greta Thunberg, and the globalist at the World Economic Forum. Hillary Clinton has informed us that heat kills half a million people a year, and is deadlier than the cold although she fails to share the scientific studies that back up these claims.
Clinton points out that these deaths could be even higher if we knew accurate numbers from India, Africa, and South America. Because these regions of the world don’t know how to count, and never experienced extreme heat until we started burning fossil fuels.
A study published in The Lancet in July of 2021 does indeed suggest the data shows that roughly 600,000 people globally die each year from the heat. This number has been increasing over the last 20 years and there are now 116,000 more deaths from heat than there were in the early 2000s.
However, this same data suggests that 4.5 million people die annually from the cold, and that increasing temperatures have resulted in 283,000 fewer deaths from the cold compared to the early 2000s. That’s 167,000 fewer temperature related deaths (283,000-116,000) thanks to increasing temperatures. Bjorn Lomburg does an excellent job of breaking this down.
But why let the whole story get in the way of a narrative, and who wouldn’t trust a sweetheart like Hillary or a guy like this?
These are the elite few who have the intellect to convene with the almighty experts in whom we are to place our faith and ignore our own common senses. These elites will shape the world according to their visions because they know better.
These conduits of The Science tell us that all experts agree (except those who don't) that carbon dioxide (CO2) is warming the earth, the ice caps will melt, and humanity will perish as a result if we don’t do everything under the sun, including blocking out the sun, to prevent the climate from warming by more than a degree or two.
So we, the rest of the world, the humanity in danger of perishing from this climate crisis that we are too dumb to see coming, must get in line by blindly following these experts who are in consensus that we are rightly fucked if we don’t comply. Third world countries in particular must give up on their hopes for climbing out of poverty and stop burning these insidious fossil fuels that lead to increased wealth, but make the planet boil.
Here in the first world, we must regress by converting to intermittent, lower states of energy provided by wind turbines and solar panels, as well as, give up meat and start eating bugs lest we all die of heat or drown as the ice cap cataclysm unleashes a torrent of water.
But are we truly fucked?
Or are we just being fucked with by the Gates, Kerrys, Clintons, Gores, and Schwabs of the world who employ the media and useful idiots such as Greta Thunberg who are long on emotion, but short on real world experience and contradictory scientific knowledge in order to promote hysterical propaganda meant to scare the masses into taking action?
Somehow, we are supposed to believe that there is some Goldilocks climate at which the planet would remain if only humans wouldn’t burn oil, natural gas, coal, or raise livestock that burp and fart. In essence, humans are the disease that is sickening the planet.
Do humans poison the water, soil, and air with chemicals from our modern industry and lifestyles? Yep.
Is the climate changing? Absolutely.
Is the globe warming? Perhaps.
Is carbon dioxide a gas that causes warming? Possibly, but if so, by how much it causes warming we don’t know.
Are humans the cause of this increasing CO2 and potential warming? We probably are increasing CO2 levels, but no one really knows for sure how much human activity may impact the climate.
The Earth is a complex, adaptive system that experiences cycles of cooling and warming on time scales the average human cannot begin to fathom. In order to believe the current narrative, we must deny the 4 billion years of geological and climatological history of this planet.
As well, everything on this planet and beyond impacts climate, but to assign some value to human activity, or any other factor for that matter, is a wild ass guess, and the much touted models are just that, models based on inputs and assumptions that could be astronomically wrong. New York City and the Maldives should have been underwater decades ago according to the models, yet they still persist above the water line.
An example of a non-human activity affecting the climate would be the eruption of Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano, an underwater volcano, in January of 2022 that sent over 38 billion gallons of vaporized sea water into the stratosphere.

According to NASA, this amount of water vapor added to the atmosphere equaled 10% of the already existing water in the stratosphere, and would have temporarily warmed the climate until the extra water dissipated from that layer. Is this a possible explanation for the atmospheric rivers that were experienced this year and were blamed on humans changing/warming the climate?
INCONVENIENT TRUTHS
For starters, there is not one single global climate or temperature. There are many climates each of which can be impacted by wind currents, water currents, geological formations, geographical location, solar activity, volcanic activity, human activity, animal activity, and on and on.
Land does not stay in one place. Once upon a time, there was one land mass that eventually broke apart. Continents float on a sea of magma so how does continental drift impact climate?
Once upon a time, much of the land was underwater. The limestone for which Kansas is famous was formed when it was underwater. The Permian Basin in the west Texas desert where I grew up was once a massive sea as well, and is now rich in oil deposits as a result.
The Anasazi Indians thrived in the American southwest during a period of time when conditions were much wetter, yet disappeared when drought conditions returned and persisted. Nothing ever stays the same so why should the climate?
Micro-climates
Humans actually create micro-climates thanks to our engineering feats that allow us to pave every available surface, and create very tall structures in areas with dense populations. The dark asphalt traps heat, and tall buildings creating a canyon effect further increasing the heat in densely populated urban areas compared to less populated rural areas. No surprise then that many of the weather stations that have been around for a while in these urban areas show increasing temperatures as the population grows.
Does this mean the planet is boiling as we’ve been told, or are we measuring temps in the wrong places skewing the data?
One area where humans may truly be impacting climate is via government sanctioned weather modification. This is very real, and a topic I’ll dive into in another post.
The Great Barrier Reef
Remember when warming oceans were destroying the Great Barrier Reef? The reason we don’t hear so much about that now is because much of the reef has recovered although “experts” are still trying to convince us otherwise every time coral cover drops a bit. Somehow, the El Nino and La Nina cycles, which change the ocean temperatures and occur whether humans exist or not, are driven by humans burning fossil fuels.
Supposedly, these cycles are becoming more extreme although there is no way to prove that these cycles are any more extreme than long term historical averages beyond our own very short history of recorded data. We also don’t often hear that one of the reasons the reef was being impacted was because of an invasion of starfish that apparently feed on the reef. Of course, this invasion of starfish is also blamed on human driven warming.
